Dalton Tiegs
Currently, Dalton works with the Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence as a Youth Organizer. Dalton believes wholly that a world where everyone is valued is entirely possible and is on the way. Dalton believes in the power of youth, queer and trans folx of color, and historically marginalized communities in being able to lead the way in transitioning from the decaying world view to the verdant, healing centered, emergent new world.

Rebecca Merton
Rebecca is the Director of Visitation and Independent Monitoring at Freedom for
Immigrants. Her work is primarily focused on monitoring and reporting on conditions in detention
facilities and supporting visitor volunteers in their direct service and advocacy work. Before joining
FFI, Merton worked as a volunteer legal assistant and interpreter for the CARA Family Detention Pro
Bono Project in Dilley, Texas. In 2013, Rebecca was awarded a Frederick Sheldon Fellowship for a
year of purposeful travel. Merton’s other experiences in anti-eviction and public benefits assistance
and disability rights impact litigation have helped her develop the intersectional lens through which
she approaches her advocacy work. She graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in social studies and
completed a postgraduate program in mental health and human rights at the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
